Flower StandThese spring days are amazing! Perfect weather for gardening, picnics, wandering about and of course the Pretty Streets flower stand! We will be selling bouquets, flower boxes and such outside the Bedford Cheese Shop starting Saturday May 11th at 11 o’clock, the day before Mother’s Day. Come stop by and pick up something pretty for mom.

Gardening class with LDBA May 5th!!!

I have been up to a lot lately and have tons to share, but first I am so excited to announce I will be teaching a planter box gardening class at LDBA!!!  LDBA is an amazing school and outlet of beautiful quality objects and products recently started up by Sara Moffat. They have tons of cool offerings and now one of them is a class by me! In this class students will first build their own planter boxes with Megan Offner of New York Heartwoods (using cedar that Megan harvested and milled herself)! Then we will fill those beautiful boxes with compost, soil and organic herbs and flowers. Students will learn how to care for and keep their planter boxes thriving all season long. In addition students will also be starting cherry tomato seeds to add to their gardens. It will be such a great class! Space still available for May 5. Sign up today!

Flowering Branches

Though I am mad for all the Fritillaria and Ranunculus, it is really the flowering branches that do it for me this time of year. Spirea, Quince, Witch Hazel, Cherry, Apple  and Magnolia…. there are so many beauties to choose from. Having  just a few flowering branches inside make these last cold winter days seem so much nicer.

Spring Fever

Spring is on its way! I saw a couple of crocuses popping up in the garden! I  am getting ready for the growing season, trying to plan it all out. The gardens, the flower stand, trips to the beach, it’s all going to start happening so fast. Ready or not here it comes!
